The legal obligation for tank calibration in Bosnia and Herzegovina is every six years, although some clients, due to the specific conditions of their locations (unstable ground, tank shifts, etc.), request this service even more frequently. Since gas station owners are required to install automatic fuel level measuring devices in their tanks and continuously and automatically send data from the AMN system to the FMT (Federal Ministry of Trade) via telephone line and through a web service in the form of XML reports, the new regulation for probes explicitly requires that tanks be calibrated using the incremental (water) method, as only in this way can AMN systems display correct and accurate fuel stock quantities in the tank.
