Calibration of mobile flow meters

The mobile volumeter is a portable measuring unit designed for the gravitational reception of fuel from tank trucks at gas stations. The complete measuring system of the mobile meter consists of a sight glass, filter, air separator, meter with a calibrator, counter, printer, outlet valve, and a supporting cart.

Calibration of the mobile volumeter on the laboratory workbench using calibration methods with the ST-40 and F4.S1 wing meters includes the following operations:

  • Reception, inspection, control, and diagnosis of the meter condition

  • Washing and cleaning

  • Disassembly of the entire meter (if necessary and by agreement)

  • Inspection and cleaning of parts: filter, air separator, rotor blades, oval gear transmitters, valves, housing, bearings, counter, transmitter, and printer on the dial, and clearance control (if necessary and by agreement)

  • Replacement of rubber seals if needed

  • Lubrication of transmission mechanisms (gear transmitters)

  • Pressure testing of the meter

  • Calibration of the meter (accuracy check and adjustment)

  • Application of official labels and placement of lead seals on appropriate parts of the meter

  • Final inspection and delivery to the client (at the laboratory location)

  • Issuance of a calibration certificate
